Cindy Dulaney is a lifelong horse lover. She has been riding for more than 35 years and has participated in many different disciplines. She is a true "student of the horse", understanding that she will never stop learning about these amazing animals. She holds a BS in Animal Science from Kansas State University and has continued her equine education through lessons, clinics and workshops.
A Morgan horse enthusiast and owner, Cindy learned that one size does NOT fit all as far as saddles are concerned! These saddle fitting challenges led her to learn more about how saddle fit affects both horse and rider. She spent a season conditioning for and competing in endurance rides, which taught her even more about the importance of saddle fit and the changes to a horse's back as their fitness level changes. Many horses experience changes in back shape seasonally, as their diet and workload changes. Aged and semi-retired horses can present a different challenge. Many older horses are given a different "job" as retirees, and their muscling and topline may change with the demands of their new discipline.
Now an avid trail and western dressage rider, Cindy is acutely aware of the role that saddle fit plays in the horse/rider partnership, no matter the discipline. It doesn't matter if you are a weekend trail rider or seasoned competitor, English or western- you can help yourself and your horse be more comfortable by correcting the fit of your saddle.
