Born and raised on a ranch in eastern Colorado, Justin Borders started to learn to work with horses at a very young age with his family. Justin often used horses for common daily ranch duties such as sorting, roping, farrier work, and checking livestock. He began learning the strategies for competing in AQHA at the young age of 8 from his father Bill Borders.
Justin furthered his farrier education and graduated at Oklahoma Horse Shoeing School then started working for Golden Animal Hospital diagnosing and correcting abnormalities in equine hooves in 2004.
Justin moved to Arizona were he apprenticed with Kevin Stallings, Jason Hershberger, and Joe Sutter studying reined cow horse, cutting, and team roping. He has been an active competitor and money earner in the NRCHA and NCHA since 2010. With the heart of a teacher, Justin is fulfilling his passion of helping people and horses work together as one.
